A new three storey house in a conservation area in east London.
The site for this new build house is a pair of garages on a street of two storey, brick built terraced houses in a conservation area of east London. The house is conceived as a contemporary white-rendered box, clearly differentiated from the neighbouring Victorian houses. A basement provides two bedrooms with kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, and a sitting room on the first floor. The constricted site means that the house has a single aspect to the north and large windows maximise natural light to the full depth of the plan.
