A full restoration and extension of a Grade II listed Regency house in East London.
When the clients bought this four storey Regency house in east London it had been lived in for more
than four decades by the same family and had suffered from ill considered improvements. The work
to the raised ground, first and second floors was undertaken as a simple, sympathetic restoration of
the existing spaces whilst carefully inserting a new bathroom, shower room and WC. The lower
ground floor was completely rearranged to provide a new kitchen and dining room extension. The
extension was conceived as a contemporary timber-clad garden room which acts as a transition
between the house and the large garden.
