Wick's conservation area, designated in 1985, contains a remarkable concentration of historic fabric — from the Grade I listed Wick Court, built around 1665 in limestone rubble for the Bristol merchant Thomas Haynes, to the Grade II* Church of St Bartholomew dating from 1850, and the seventeenth-century Rose and Crown on the High Street.
