This wide Edwardian terraced house sits in the St John’s Wood Conservation Area. The clients brief was for a substantial basement extension (the original house was from ground floor upwards only) to house extra accommodation, and internal remodelling. An initial option was ruled out on cost grounds, and the revised option uses red brick rather than stone to the rear.
