Liverpool Road is a grade 2 listed, 3 storey, terraced house within a conservation area in Islington. A new kitchen/family room has been created, with a private dining terrace and enlarged bathroom above. The design that developed revolved around the idea of keeping the original house intact and creating a new 'pavilion' which sat separately from it. This 'pavilion' is linked to the existing house by a glazed walkway which lets light into the back of the kitchen, and allows view from the kitchen of the house in its original form. The new kitchen now enjoys direct access to the garden.

The new dining terrace above is conceived as an outside room, and is contained by the wall to the neighbouring house and on one side and the new bathroom on the other. Glass balustrades allow a considerably improved view from the house to the garden.
