Gresford Architects designed (RIBA Stages 0–4) and Allen Architects delivered (RIBA Stage 5 — after Gresford Architects moved from London to Oxford) this part-single/part-two storey extension and whole house refurbishment project from initial concepts through to technical design, tender and construction. We worked directly with our clients to help realise their specific design intent and they deserve huge amount of credit for the inspiration they brought to the project.

Every care was taken to retain and enhance original features, including the characterful staircase and the use of earthy new materials such as bare internal plaster and cobble stone pavers.

The success of the project owes much to the reclaimed fixtures and fittings lovingly sourced by our client, integrated in the design by Gresford Architects and Allen Architects and carefully installed by the main contractor.
